All mods make a difference, some more than others, but they all count.

Just look at todays postings - refurbishment of genuine 2-piece AMG wheels, 
fitment of late MB rear view mirrors, fitment of electric steering columns, 
upgrading of steering wheels and gearshifts. These are genuine mods and 
significant ones too.

Forget missing the heyday, you're even missing today !
