Here here,

David I agree with you.   I think it will still be a few years before
digital can compete with a print from an 8x10 negative - and if it does I'll
buy a 11x14 enlarger and camera.

Yeah, they got a ways to go yet with them digi-thingies.  I wonder if a DVD
would have enough capacity to store one image after it's scanned?  I think
I'll
keep skipping the intermediate steps and just keep going direct from film to
print.
