   The only metal darkslides I've ever seen were on WW-2 
vintage holders. Used because of the rubber shortage. Normal 
darkslides of the time were made of Ebonite, a form of hard 
rubber.
   If you want metal slides and they are not available from 
the manufacturer try Alan Bruebaker. he specializes in 
making and repairing film holderers of all types.
