[LargeFormat] 5x7 Daylight tank

There was made a 5x7 version of the plastic 4x5 tank with the insert for
holding the film. I think it was made by Morse or FR or HP/Combi, but I
forget.... I have never seen one for sale on Ebay. So maybe it was rarely
produced.

I do not think there was another premade tank solution. If you must go to a
tank ( yes, I understand that 1 neg at a time is ... boring? Painful? takes
too long?... You could try deep tanks ( not daylight proof ) or trays.
Tanks did come in 5x7 sizes in rubber and I think SS. However then you have
the problem of non daylight processing.

Last choice is BTZS Tubes. 1 Neg in a tube. This is a hassle from the
keeping them all afloat and moving at 1 time. It is semi-daylight
processing. Lots of people like this arrangement. However, I do not think
it is better than a 3006 tank and doing the roll in the water by hand
routine. It is cheaper to use BTZS tubes. YOu can pretty easily make your
own tubes for around $5 each. ( Use black sewer pipe of 2 inch diameter.
Do not use the whit pipe, it leaks light through the walls and costs more
for the "privlege")

I think that if you have a ATL1500, you could use the 1 neg at a time
process. It takes time to do a mess of negs, but it IS a set and forget
process. Wash thoroughly OUTSIDE the processor. I use a print washer and
SS clips to hold the film in suspension in the water. It works really well.

A relevant question has not been asked.. is this B+W processing at 70F or
color at some really elevated temp? This could throw the solution totally
in another direction......

Thank you all for your input.
I liked F.Filippone's suggestion on using the 2523 tank, but one neg at
a time...

I have the temp. controlled faucet - and I'm thinking of doing the 5x7
in batches, so what would be a good daylight tank solution? I've
searched the forums and found a pointer to www.viewcamerastore.com and
suggesting the Jobo 3006 Expert Drum - just like FF suggested. So I
guess it's off to eBay and see if I can drum one up - excuse the pun.

Thanks again.
