[LargeFormat] Yes, the Apo-Nikkor 480 was a proceess lens

I bought the Apo-Nikkor understanding that it was a process lens. I only need it to cover up to 8x10 at infinity, so I assumed that the coverage and abberations inherent in a 1:1 lens formulation would not be a problem for me when used stopped down at distance. Actually, I will use it 80% of the time (which is not all that often to begin with) in a 4x5 Sinar. I also have used a 45cm Apo-Skopar for the same reasons and in the same ways, but the Apo-Skopar has a creeping edge separation in the front elements which has gotten worse in the ten years I have been using it. Also, the barrel is damn heavy and an odd size so mounting it in a shutter did not seem as practical. I liked the image that the Apo-Skopar gives, but I don't use it as often now. Thanks for your comments, this thread has already generated some interesting possibilities.
