Clive, Who cares about Kodak, the mass marketers? At least Fuji
doesn't concentrate on skin tone! Great poems, boys.

> Seven hours ago, Kodak announced to the world its withdrawal from the
> traditional-camera market in Western Europe, the US and Canada. They
> will still be making film, but this is another nail in the coffin of
> film as Kodak concentrate on their digital products.
>
> However they will still be supplying film-based cameras to other parts
> of the world:
>
> "'Kodak said that it plans to continue making reloadable cameras that
> use 35mm film for emerging markets, such as China, India, Eastern
> Europe and Latin America, and that it will introduce six new cameras
> in those markets this year."
>
> "(We) estimate that there are 60 million Chinese consumers who have
> the purchasing power to participate in photography, but have not
> bought their first camera," Kodak spokesman Charles Smith said.
>
> This seems to be part of the current management thinking for Kodak in
> their strategy to pursue the market for digital cameras.
>
> The message for us is to continue buying and using large format film -
> where there is a demand, supplies will continue.
>
> Cheers,
> Clive
