If the shutter edge overhangs the lensboard it can contact surrounding
clutter on the camera front.
I overcame this problem on a smaller technical camera by placing a spacer on
the back of the shutter to move the shutter forward to clear the adjacent
camera parts but a limiting factor was the depth of the flange thread.
This was overcome when I glued the spacer  to the lensboard and cut away the
lensboard circle to allow access to the flange ring.  Philip
