[LargeFormat] Shutterless lens usage

I have been looking at the site for the Packard
shutters, but not having one at hand, I have a
question.

How does this attach to the camera?? OR does it attach
to the front of the lens??

I am sure it is fairly simple to attach and use the
shutter, but trying to understand in advance.
