>1000km's A mere stone's throw away!

Well I did drive roudn trip 5,000 km last year to Key West, FL,
and back (3,000 miles for you metric challenged people :). So, you ahve a
point there...

Seriously agian - I shot off over 100 sheets of Tri-X and HP5 in a
week there last year. Took a changing tent and developed all when I got
back. home. Talk about putting my Jobo drum to heavy duty use.. :)
Key West, betweeen the natural beauty and the old, historic
buildigns has a ton of stuff that is just a LF photograher's dream. all
the Florida Keys are beautiful,a nd the peopela re all nice down there
too. (not that they aren't nice in other places mind you). But if you are
stuck for shooting LF, for isnpiration, Key West is the perfect tonic. I
dould of shot off a tousand sheets of film given enough time,a nd still nto
covered everything I would want to.
To be fair, I have to point out about 50 of those sheets were
"family snapshots". Ijust have a hard time getting back into 35mm or even
120, even for family vacation shots. I am sure it looks weird to be
hauling around my Super Speed Graphic all the time whiel eveyrone else is
shooting with disposable 35mm or digital cameras, but what the hey... :)

>The store is one of the last good old family run places around. The folks
>there will bend over backwards to serve their clients. Last week I bought
>a nice Berlebach tripod (they stock them!) for my 8x10.
>
>I just called them this a.m.
>In LF they stock:
>Agfa APX 100 4x5
>Ilford HP5 4x5
>Ilford Delta 400 4x5

Well, HP5 is my next favourite film after Tri-X, so i
will. Thanks much
joe
