As to black acrylic, large tubes are on sale cheaply in the artists'
supplies display in W H Smith in Bromley and presumably other towns. Gesso
is more specialised but I don't doubt several London specialists would sell
it..  What concerns me is how well these unconventional materials would last
on the corners of the bellows folds.PL
