Haven't yet. Tethering the tripod could be dangerous with my methodology.
I push the frisbee into the snow until it is reasonably solid and then find
out the tripod legs won't line up - then repeat until I find the hollow in
the snow around a log or rock. I find the hollow by placing my right foot
into it. This tells me how deep the snow is, and reminds me that my left
knee has been sensitive to sudden lateral movements since the toboggan
incident. Being tethered to the tripod would ensure that it fell on me -
untethered there is a chance that it won't land on me or vice versa.
