Dear Roland,

     Use the rubber band system by all means - it has saved my forgetful
bacon more times than once. I add a filip to it. When I start on the double
dark I snap the rubber band around my wrist. When it is finished I snap the
band onto the holder crosswise. BUT when I find a rubber band attached to my
wrist I know there is a half-used holder out there somewhere and I have to
stop till I find it.

    Of course, half-used holders can indeed migrate through the 9th
dimension to unknown places, much like socks in the wash.
