[LargeFormat] DIY Focusing Cloth and Blankies

I have the hat - which also comes in handy to set on top of my 4x5 during
exposure - it perfectly shades the lens and the film holder slot.

My favorite to date to use (if weather temp permits) is a light weight black
nylon jacket which I keep on and pull the coat tail up over my head and over
the camera to focus - much preferred than carrying the extra weight of my
heavy fabric Zone VI focus cloth which is preferred when shooting close to
the car.

I have exhausted those locations locally where I can shoot from close to
my car. Planning to put a plywood platform on top of my Tahoe (like Ansel
Adam's) to expand my vision and quest of shots to be made from my car - I'm
lazy :(.

All of this focusing cloth leads me to ask if anyone knows

It doesn't but I think a black slouch hat is a must to go
with it. If you bring this off you will look like Alfred
Stieglitz.

Or Zorro!
