[LargeFormat] For folks in the American southwest

October!!!...  The sun stays low, the weather is
bearable (crisp mornings and hikeable days) and the
bugs are gone.  Having grown up in Central Utah, some
of my most fond memories are of October camping trips
to the desert.  Bring a tent and a WARM sleeping
bag!!!

ps.  If you go when there's a new moon (or
thereabouts) take some high-speed film too because you
will be blown away by the stars.
