Hi!
I needed a helical focussing mount to fit a 47mm SA on my 69 Linhof and
there was nil rising front. The same lens on a simple slightly recessed
panel works on my Century Graphic with conventional focussing - 9mm of
rising front is available, which is enough to be useful on a rollfilm neg
56mm wide. On the other hand if the Tachihara uses Linhof /Wista boards
maybe you could mount the lens with say 10mm fixed rise by cutting out the
flange hole off centre. If you work with plywood you can make a recessed
lens board for your 5x4 camera. The bellows can be extended by the depth of
the recess and this might allow a bit more rise. The only point to watch
is access to the shutter and lens controls, which is quite tricky on my Cen
Graphic as the board is tiny. Last year I bought a recessed metal board for
my 54 Linhof from Mr Cad for £55 and this worked with my 65mm f5.6 S.Ang.
(since sold) but I am selling the recessed panel for whatever it fetches on
Ebay.co.uk. Maybe the US Ebay would attract more bids.... PL
