FWIW Carl Meyer is a made up trade name used by Burke and
James for lenses it assembled or had assembled. Its a
combination of CARL Zeiss and Hugo MEYER, both respectible
companies. Most Carl Meyer lenses were from surplus or
captured parts. They should be avoided for the most part.
I have no idea what this thing was originally, perhaps
some special purpose lens. Keep in mind that the depth of
field of a 125mm lens at f/2 is extremely shallow. I don't
think anyone missed much.
B&J also assembled Dagor lenses, apparently from surplus
Zeiss parts after WW-2. They were called "Berlin" Dagors, I
don't think they have either the Zeiss or Goerz name on
them. They are reputed to be consistently awful.
