Alan,
I have one of the Silvestri tilting loupes, and can confirm the tilt DOES
work in the corners. It can take a bit of getting used to, especially in the
lower corners (you have to tilt your head as well!)

It is also useful for checking proof prints, as the tilt allows light to
fall on the paper.
