I can only add that there are CPH with inserts for film.... Therefore moving
the focus plane of the emulsion forward for film relative to without the
adapters....    So I suspect the camrera measurements arer the same, but the
holders are different to compensate for the film/plate thickness.

Part of the problems with quesations like this is that those who know, and
lived through the issues, are now either too old to remember or dead.  We
must get this info out there for the "younger" generation to remember....and
pass down.
