Hi Lee!

I've just mounted the 180mm Componon to the lensboard. I can measure
the light falloff with my Weston Photographic Analyzer (a '50s combination
densitometer and enlarging meter) and it's about a third of a stop at the
corners
from the center with 5x7 and a 300 watt bulb of the right type. The machine
is set up properly with the two pieces of glass, one of them frosted to even
out
the light. But for 4x5 negatives it looks real even.

I don't have a large format camera at the moment. I've had and will
continue
to use the small Durst M600, but the Elwood will enlarge 35mm and roll film
on the easel much bigger. It looks like there's room for a big easel.

I've still got to get the glass sandwich for the negative before I can use
it.

I've got a few large format images to print with it taken with a 3 1/4x4
1/4
Graflex SLR. One of the reasons for setting up for large format in the
darkroom.
I'm window shopping for a large format camera. Rich
