For those of us who venture off the beaten track with your LF gear what
do you do about lens & lensboards?

Do you have each lens mounted to a lensboard? Change them in the field?
What do you do to protect them?

Mr Grimes would make you a conversion lensboard to enable you to use small
lensboards like Linhof 6x9 on cameras like Sinar or Toyo which have big
lensboards. It's possible to make your own.
Choose small lenses for field work. The 203mm Ektar f7.7 in Prontor covers
5x7 and is tiny. 90mm f6.8 Angulon is small and just covers 5x4. Some are
sharper than others. Fuji make some small LF lenses. You can get filter
size and shutter size information off the net. Philip
