Dear Rs
Have you considered digital printing? This is a dry process. A decent (?)
printer is £300 or so and for a bit more you can get an A3
one. I am confident that they accept Yap Island credit cards or a couple of
your wives if recent model. No I haven't bought a printer but I am now
getting processed films back from the printing lab with the images on CDrom
with files large enough to print from or view on my 15inch screen. Lacking
experience of digital printing I have joined the camera club, where half of
the members are into digital work because they (like me) are fed up with wet
darkrooms. They are all old and grey yet would all claim to be lucid and
adapting to the new technology. The printers sometimes produce photographic
quality results (I have seen some). You can mess about with the image on
Photoshop until it looks nothing like what you started with. Haven't any
idea whether the cost per print is less than the wet process. (Plates used
to be wet process....) Philip
