There are basically 3 types of JOBO,,,,

CPE2.... about 24x12 inches of counter space, nothing automatic.... $600
new, about $400 used. uses 2500 and 1500 series tanks, ONLY.

CPP2 or CPA2.... about 36x18 inches, more sophisticated, but still manual,
controls, and will handle the 3000 series tanks as well...$1000+ new, used
$800+

Automatic controls.....ATL500, 800, 1500, 2XXX series... these are program
and walk away.... the processor changes and times everything.... $3000 ++++
new, used, not much less than $1500. the 2XXX family will handle 3000
series tanks, the others will not.

There are 2 different tank systems for 4x5 negs... the 2523 and 2553 tanks
that have a reel in them, siimilar to your Nikkor.....6 sheets in the 2523,
12 sheets in the 2553 The 3000 Series reels have sub-tubes in them....each
tube shares the overall chemistry, but each sheet of film is held in a
separate tube... sort of BTZS tubes all connected together..... The 3000
are supposed to be more even and consistent in their developoment....

I have good luck with the 2500 tanks.... others do not. .. If you want the
best in develoopment, regardless of cost, then the 2XXX is the best ( $8K
????) and then the manual CPP2, just so you can use the 30000 series
tanks....

Check this page out.....

www.jobo.com that will probably confuse you more, but ask questions......
