[LargeFormat] Adon Lens

Hi Tom,

I missed the reference to the Adon lens.

I'm not sure if this is the same lens as I have but the one I have has a
signature of Dallmeyer. It is basically a "zoom" lens and I use it on
my 4x5 Linhof field. I found it on eBay from England and paid probably
too much for it but I get some rather interesting results out of it.

Is this the same lens that you have? Mine has a serial number: 91725.
I'd be interested to hear how and where you got your hands on yours.

I was able to get a step-ring machine-tooled here in Montreal to fit it
on a Ilex 3x shutter with a dedicated lens-plate for my Linhof. I have
not used it on 8x10 since I need to get a lens-plate drilled for the
Ilex but I'd be interested to hear what you plan to do with yours and
what experience you have.

It is a bit tricky to use in terms of working out the proper exposure
times but I get some really nice soft-focus images from it. Is there
anybody out there who has an Adon lens?

Cheers,

Guy
