Hello John,

You are one of many!

Am sure that others are confused so just to reiterate, there are two
distinct aspects to the f32 Large Format web site that are part of
the bigger community:

1. The f32 Large Format Mailing list (which is where we are now and
works through EMail only on a list server with mail originating from
the address largeformat@f32.net) Subscriptions and sign-up can be
managed on the web and the archive is on the web.

2. The f32 Discussion Forum at http://www.f32.net/discus (which is
web-based only, allows subscribers to post images and is visited
using a browser but sends EMail notifications when new posts are
made, these posts come from the address forum@f32.net)

The notification EMails from the web-based Discussion Forum all have
a notice at the bottom requesting that replies are not made to the
messages. The notifications are simply a courtesy to inform users
that there have been new postings.

The mailing list mails (like this one) go out to everyone on the
mailing list and are replied to by hitting the reply button in your
Email client and are then sent out to all mailing list members by the
list server.

Confusion has arisen because some people are subscribed to both the
Discussion Forum and the mailing list.

Hope this clears those muddy waters.

Cheers,
        Clive
