[largeformat] bulk roll 35mm cannisters

I bought a TC1.6A converter for my AF Nikon which allows the autofocus use
of manual lenses magnified 160% .

It occurs to me that this converter might if mounted on the rear of a large
focus lens give an image magnified  160% on the groundglass   and with a
305mm f9 R Claron this should give me a 488mm f14.4 lens with a 305mm back
focus. Or would it give me a standard Nikon 50mm back focus?  I wouldn't
like to build an adapter to find I couldn't focus the dam thing.  Before I
spend half a day experimenting, are there any optics experts out there who
just KNOW it won't work?  Philip
