the only state in the US that your left hand can serve as a map, Michigan,
which is Ojibway for "mitten" ;-).  Feel that second knuckle on your thumb?
the one closest to your palm?  That where I live. The french called it
"Detwah" or "the straight"  now we call it DEEE troiT. That first thumb
knuckle is Port Huron and you can get into Canada from either point, but
Winsor is known in the bars around here as the only Candian city south of
the contiguous United States.

At the very top is the Mackinac (pronounced "mack in aw" one of those
french/indian muddles) bridge.  I could go on but you get the idea.

Looks like about 900-1000 prints this weekend. I've been doint this all
summer long, about 9000 prints so far. I've managed to get the prints
numbers so I get paid, but I still have every one of those negs 3 prints
each so its' "only" 300 negs) to number.  This is going to be one of those
jobs right up there with death and taxes.
