I've lived in a country with unprotected 220V sockets all my life, and I
assure you that electrocution is not something that we worry about.
Actually, I may have heard of someone getting electrocuted once, but that
was about 10 years ago.

I myself have had 220V zap me numerous times, and not only am I still
alive, but I also have not developed any speach impediments or strange
facial tics!

220V is grossly overrated as a way of killing a person. Tripping over
shoelaces is a much more effective weapon!
