I have used the new Fuji Quickchange holders. During picture-taking, they
work just like a graphmatic. The catch is that the septums are part of a
cartridge that is only available pre-loaded from Robert White in the UK with
Fuji Provia 100 (you cannot buy an empty cartridge). The 8 initial sheets
will run you 32 Pounds (now -- euro??), which is pretty steep (particularly
if, like me, you don't really use color film).

I did use these 8 sheets though (actually I should receive them back tomorrow
from a local lab).

The downside (if there is one) is that the cartridge is re-load-"able" (in
the sense that it CAN be done, but it isn't obvious how to just from looking
at the cartridge). I don't suppose that it was any worse than the first time
that I looked a Graphmatic and thought, "now what?" However, with some
fiddling (and, in my case, some helpful JPGs from Robt. White & Co. showing
the various steps) I did get the cartridge re-loaded and will use it before I
use my Graphmatics as I have more faith in brand new stuff which has only
been abused by me. For the back-backers out there, note that the weight of
one of these plastic cartridges and the metal holder is probably lighter,
even with the extra two sheets of film, than the substantial steel and
bakalite Graphmatic.

I will probably stick with Grafmatics, however they do seem to be a
reasonable modern alternative. Plastic septums rather than thin metal
probably means that they suffer a lot less from bent septum problems! >>
