Dear Friends,

    I kid you not. Help.

I have just been printing some colour negs with Agfacolor Signum II =
paper - 8 x 10 size surface 310 (glossy) - this evening and a =
frightening defect has shown up. New to me and I've been doing RA 4 for =
years.

We're down to the last 20 sheets of the box of 100 and the size has =
changed. Subtly, but changed. It no longer fits in my one-size Saunders =
frame. Too long by 2-3 mm.

    That's nothing - I noticed a subtle banding of about 2cm crosswise =
through one print and in the last two prints it has become a 10cm =
transverse patch that is nearly pure cyan. Not the neg, not the =
enlarger, not the tanks - I ran a comparison with the last of a box of =
Tura Profi II to check.

Has anyone had dodgy Agfa colour paper before - it is new to me? Of =
course I go to Agfa when they reopen in the new year and gently throttle =
the state manager, but reassure me in the meantime. Help.

    Uncle Dick

PS: This isn't the revenge of the English XI, is it? How did they do =
it?
