[LargeFormat] Vacuum Easels

The models I've seen have been used with vacuum pumps. When you think about
it, the flow should be close to zero once the paper is in place. A higher
flow would assist in the initial suck-down, if the paper is especially
curly, but is really irrelevant once in place. A vacuum pump is MUCH
quieter! My shop vac requires ear protection!

What I did with my darkroom was include an extension to the built in house
vac - right at my enlarger bench. I haven't built the easel yet, but my
intention was to use the vac with the easel. However, I did plan to include
a variable inlet like most household vacuum hoses have, to ensure a
reasonable amount of air gets to the vacuum. (come on guys, admit it, you
HAVE vacuumed the house once or twice, right? You know about that
adjustment on the hose? I'm sure my wife mentioned it to me when I lifted
my feet off the floor to accommodate the power head ;-)
