A while back I put up a photo using a S65mm f8 Super Angulon, and
alluded to a photo of an "outflow control chamber"

Well here it is

http://www.ismi.net/~lnphoto/outflowcontrol.JPG

The chamber is about 6 feet wide and the grate in the ceiling is about
30 feet from where I was standing. The iron thing is a gate about 5 feet
tall and is in a half open position (just below the photo was a
recangular hole 6 feet wide and about 3 feet tall)

The camera is on a tripod about 2.5-3 feet off the ground pointed almost
straight up. Normally I would sit down so I could look up at the ground
glass to focus, but there was about 2 inches of raw sewer water on the
floor so I had to sort of bend double to look at the ground glass. The
room was lit with three 150 watt bulbs and could have been candles for
all the light they gave off. The walls were covered in VERY black
waterproofing tar/pitch.

By eye, you could not see the ceiling except for the grate and the walls
didn't show the water stains

I focused on the grate and the top light in the hole, since thats all I
could see. Stopped down to f16 fired off 4-6 pops of my trusty Metz 60
CT4 on the old VPH 400 color film.

In the wall to the left, there was another gate that let water in from a
15 foot tunnel and the gate shown allowed the water to fall another 25
feet to a 30 foot dia super sewer.

In Panama they have locks for ships, in Detroit they have locks for
shi*. :-)
