Well the Square is a roundabout but they usually close off the roads for
big events - like New Year's Eve. It's a bit of a nightmare place to be if
you are keen on personal space :-) The concert is in aid of Africa - the
Embassy is on Trafalgar Square.

The digital snap was taken with an Olympus OM2000Z and one of my CoCam
infrared filters - some shots in the Gallery at http://www.cocam.co.uk The
little camera is excellent and represents one of the best purchases
photographically since my first 203mm Ektar. Check out
http://www.infraredfaq.org for more info on digital cameras that work in
infrared. All CCDs are infrared sensitive but some manufacturers have
rather effective infrared filters in front of or bonded to the CCDs.

Cheers,
