[LargeFormat] roll film back

I just measured the aperture in the 6x7 rollfilm back of my Linhof 6x9 and
it is 56mm by 72mm. Your ground glass will obviously be a custom job to fit
your own groundglass holder, but perhaps you could start with a displaced
ground glass from a 5x4 as some of these are ruled in squares and others
even have the 56x72 format drawn on them. Old glass can be tricky to cut
with a diamond or wheel because it seems to become brittle as it ages. A
modern bright screen is a good idea; modern ground glass is brighter and
finer grained than old ground glass, to judge from my experience of ancient
and modern Linhofs. Philip
