Great, great news to tell you! God has wonderfully answered prayer for us--
and provided for thousands who up until now could not watch our program.

 

A wonderful Christian couple was led of the Lord to make it possible for
many of you -- who cannot see our television program -- to see it in the
days ahead.

 

Because of their obedience to God, we are extremely excited to announce that
The John Ankerberg Show went back on the INSP Network (The Inspiration
Network) starting Sunday night, November 11. The network reaches into 22
million American homes.  If there are 2.5 people on average in each home,
that means 55 million more people will have the opportunity to see the
program.

 

God added a miracle to this couple's gift by providing us one of the best
time slots of the whole week.  Now, you will be able to watch our program
each week on Sunday night from 9:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Eastern time -- 9:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday night in

States in the Mountain Time Zone which include such cities as 

Albuquerque, Phoenix, Tucson, Denver, Colorado Springs, Salt Lake City,

Pacific time -- 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday night in 

the Pacific Time Zone which include such cities as San Diego, Oakland, Los
Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas -- and up and down the
cities of the West Coast.

Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau.

 

Hawaii - Aleutian time -- 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday night in 

Honolulu and other cities.

 

What are the first programs you will see?  Well, we started on Sunday night,
November 11, just on INSP by airing Where Is Islam Taking the World?  with
former Muslims Drs. Emir and Ergun Caner.  We gave you a taste of the series
by showing you two weeks of our seven-week series. 

 

Then, coming up in the next two weeks -- Jerusalem in the Crossfire, a look
at current events and prophecy.  My guest will be journalist Dr. Jimmy
DeYoung who has lived in Jerusalem since 1993, and interviewed every Israeli
Prime Minister, as well as King Abdullah of Jordan, and Palestinian leaders
such as the late Yasser Arafat.  He knows what is happening in Israel and in
the Middle East.  

 

Following that, you will hear my interview with Lee Strobel, who for 13
years was the legal editor of the Chicago Tribune and an outspoken atheist.
When his wife became a Christian, her conversion set him on a quest to
disprove the Christian faith.  But, after two years of examining the
evidence, it brought him to place his faith in Jesus Christ.  Lee wrote a
book about the evidence that persuaded him to become a Christian called The
Case for Christ.  He's going to tell us about that evidence.

 

Remember, you will not hear these programs anywhere else.  The John
Ankerberg Show is the only Christian apologetics program on television that
covers such a variety of topics, ranging from world religions, to the
historical Jesus, Cults and new religions.  We also cover social issues such

The Battle to Dethrone Jesus


 


Those of you who receive our program on our other networks, we will be
bringing you a brand-new series, The Battle to Dethrone Jesus. 

 

I'm sure you're aware that in the last two years there has been one attack
after another on the Christian faith, and on Jesus himself -- everything
including accusations that He really didn't die on the cross, the disciples
didn't really see Jesus alive after He was crucified, and church scribes
tampered with the Scriptural texts.  

 

Well, I have invited two of the top scholars in the world to explain to you
why so many are trying to dethrone Jesus, why the evidence that's being
presented is not true, and how you can respond with historical facts and
solid evidence. 

 

It will be a privilege to have as guests Dr. Darrell Bock, Professor of New
Testament Research and Dr. Daniel Wallace, Professor of New Testament
Studies, both of Dallas Theological Seminary.  Dr. Wallace is one of the
greatest textual critics of our day, is the author of the standard textbook
on Intermediate Greek grammar, and is also the senior New Testament editor
of the NET Bible.

 


Go into All the World and Preach the Gospel


 

The open door to INSP is important for another reason.  It allows us to
apply to their sister network called INI or Inspiration Network
International.  

 

The INI Network provides programming to 55 million homes overseas in
countries such as Great Britain, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey,
Israel, Jordan, and right through the Arab states around the top of North
Africa.  In addition INI has just picked up the cable coverage for Australia
and New Zealand.  With God's help, and yours, we want to air our programs in
those countries.

 

As you know, people from over 185 countries of the world are already coming

information.  This last month we were privileged to meet Lois Chan, who has
translated 15 of our Facts On books into Chinese -- such as The Facts on
Islam, The Facts on the Mormon Church, The Facts on Roman Catholicism, etc.
She says our books are popular in China.  We are working with her to
translate some articles for our website.  This is important as China is the
third largest country coming into our website.  Christian students and
adults, pastors and missionaries outside of America, desperately need to
have access to the kind of information we provide.  When you support our
ministry you are reaching out to Christians and non-Christians alike
overseas, providing them the answers they need.  

 

In December I will be taping a debate in Dallas, Texas with Hank Hanegraff
and Dr. Mark Hitchcock on the question, When Was the Book of Revelation
Written?  Was it written before 70 A.D. or 95 A.D?  Have the prophetic
events in the book of Revelation already been fulfilled in the destruction
of Jerusalem in 70 A.D., or are they yet to be fulfilled in the future?  We
will bring you this debate in January, plus an interview with Dr. Tim
LaHaye, Dr. Tommy Ice, and Dr. Mark Hitchcock.

 

Our ministry goal is to obey our Lord Jesus' command to "Go and make
disciples of all the nations.teaching them to observe all that I have
commanded you."  Sadly some of our churches today are obeying the first part
of the Great Commission -- by winning people to Christ, but are not carrying
out the second part -- "teaching them to observe all [the other things] that
I have commanded you."  We want to encourage you in the faith and to tell
you, you are not alone.  We know you are constantly bombarded with arguments
and information that tears down your faith, and you want help.  Our goal is
to provide you with that help and encouragement.  

 

Let me ask you, "What do you have now that you won't lose when you die?"
Jesus said, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth
and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.  But [you are to]
store up for yourselves treasures in heaven..."

 

That's why we ask you to work with us in this ministry. If we are obeying
Jesus command "to go and make disciples of all nations" by telling them the
truth of the Gospel... "and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you," then by giving to God's work you are laying up for yourself
treasure in heaven.  

 

It's on that basis that I ask for your help for this ministry.  Without the
extraordinary help from this couple, many of you would not have been able to
see the program in your town.    For us to maintain this wonderful
opportunity of getting on INSP and carrying on month after month on all our
networks, I would ask you to pray about how you might help us continue this
outreach.

 

I think that you and all of our friends who receive this letter are some of
the most generous and kind Christians that I know.  God bless you in all
