[Jacob-list] Baaing

In a number of books that I've read, it says that sheep are quiet animals,
only making noise when there is a problem like hunger.  However, mine make
noise a lot, especially when they see me.  They are all in good condition,
have an open barn for shelter, fresh water, good food and the run of 10
acres.  Is this normal??
