[Jacob-list] Re: Herding with Jacobs

I think it is because Jacob's tend to "get it" faster
than other breeds of sheep.  This applies to
everything :)  When I am looking for a Jacob to add to
my herding flock, I look for a mild temperment that is
not confrontational or high strung.  I have found that
it is better to have an older wether/ewe that is dog
broke and then add lambs.  The lambs will follow the
older sheep and within a couple days the lambs are dog
broke.
