[Jacob-list] Out of season lamb?

Neal,

Last year I had a yearling ewe who did not appear to have conceived, and did
not lamb with all the other ewes in March. I figured we would just wait
until the following spring.

Well, one late June morning I went out to the pasture, and this tiny,tiny
newborn lamb was bouncing along besides this yearling. Apparently her first
estrus had come on late,and one of the rams was happy to oblige.....Funny
thing is, this particular ewe was a "surprise" birth herself....seemed to
run in her family :-)
