Melanie,

I personally would not use a ram to breed his mother or sister.  I think it would be even riskier breeding him to his sister.  If there are any undesirable recessive traits this would probably bring them to the surface.  Are you close to any other Jacob breeders where you could pick up an unrelated ram?
