[TCCUG Helpline] cache

Dick: I do have a "Temporary Internet File" folder -- which at this time has
nothing in it (but it used to get pretty full at times in the past). I don't
know why or when my computer stopped putting things into that folder.

I use Netscape Communicator, and all last summer, when Bluelight was free, I
periodically got messages from them to "empty my cache", and my computer
would "hang up" wherever I was on the Internet. Since Bluelight went to a
pay program, I have not had that problem. But I only recently discovered
this "cache" folder buried about 7 layers deep in my program files folder.
All the files (nearly 4 MB!) are deleted now, and computer is still working
OK. If I need to, I can always put the files back -- but I'm going to see
first if I have trouble without them. So far, so good.

Thanks for your suggestions.
Veronica.
