Thanks to you and everyone else who responded to my problem. After =
fooling around with it and finally trying to access the document from a =
different route I finally got it to come up correctly. Don't ask me how =
or why because I just don't know!!!!!!!!
Thanx again everyone-you're a great bunch!
Marion

  =20
  Marion,
  =20
I have racked the old brain on this one with no success... If the =
offending file is not confidential, perhaps you could send it to me and =
I'll mess with it in Word 97.
  =20
Just attach it (as a file attachment) to an e-mail to me:
  =20
  dickcarr@metrolink.net=20
  =20
If you would put Word 97 Document in the subject line then I'll =
recognize it and not throw it away with all the junk I purge from the =
server before downloading.
  =20
  Dick

I am trying to open a word document that I saved some time ago but =
use frequently. All of a sudden when I try to open it all I get is a =
bunch of letters and symbols that don't make any sense. Does anyone =
know what might have happened????? Can it be fixed or do I have to re-do =
the document?? I am using MS Word 97

    Thanx in advance, Marion
