From eebraatz at yahoo.com Mon Nov 3 07:37:27 2008 From: eebraatz at yahoo.com (Erin Braatz) Date: Mon, 3 Nov 2008 04:37:27 -0800 (PST) Subject: [Guinea-list] Anyone going to Guinea and Room available in NYC Message-ID: <541980.78798.qm@web52908.mail.re2.yahoo.com> If anyone is going to Guinea any time soon I would love to send something to my family. Also, I?m looking for someone to replace me in my apartment in Washington Heights starting December 1. The lease runs until August 1, though there may be the possibility to extend. My room is quite large, with two closets and room for my full bed, dresser, three book shelves, a desk and a reading chair. It has lots of light and views of the George Washington Bridge. The apartment is quite huge. It?s in a pre-war building by Columbia Presbyterian, so the walls are thick, the ceilings high and all of the rooms much larger than they make them now. There is a living/dining room, kitchen, foyer and bathroom. Everyone in the building is super nice and always ready to help if you need it. My two roommates are teachers. They?re both fun and thoughtful. The neighborhood is a fun Dominican neighborhood, on the weekends there is always a lot going on on both Broadway and St. Nicolas. There are plenty of parks near by; I particularly love running up to Fort Tryon park. The apartment is only a few blocks from both the A and the 1 trains. The A runs express so it takes less than a half hour to get from here to Midtown. I have always felt very safe coming home alone at all hours. I have lived here longer than anywhere other than my childhood home, which is probably the best recommendation I can give it. The rent is $681. First and last month plus security deposit (1 month?s rent) is due in advance.
