Hello all,

If anyone knows of a french/english translator in Guinea,
preferably a Guinean national, please contact Dr. Counsel,
below, at g.counsel at umpa.unimelb.edu.au.

--------

Hi,

I have travelled to Guinea twice before for my Graduate
research and I will be returning to Guinea in late
July/early August to complete a funded research project at
the Bibilotheque Nationale in collaboration with the
library's director..

I can read French but I am not fluent in speaking the
language, so I will require the services of a
French-English translator. Ideally the translator would be
a local Guinean, who would assist me in my archival
project. I can pay weekly wages above that of a civil
servant.

I have contacted Omar Diogo Diallo, the Educational Adviser
at the Centre dé Etude de la Langue Anglaise (CELA) on
marudaka at yahoo.fr but unfortunately I have received no
reply.

I hope that you may know of a French-English translator in
Conakry, ideally a graduate student or similar with a
knowledge of Guinean music, who would be willing be act as
my translator. I would require their services for 2 - 3
months.

Thank you, and regards.

Graeme
