Hello everyone.
Friends of Guinea 's quarterly newsletter, "?aVa?," is
scheduled for release in about three weeks, on May 15.
Submissions are welcome from anyone, members or
non-members, on subjects relating to Guinea, Peace
Corps, or Peace Corps Guinea.
Accounts of current development projects in Guinea,
essays on development issues that might be relevant to
Guinea, memoirs of volunteer experiences, accounts of
travel in Guinea, and news of life events for RPCVs
are particularly welcome.
Pictures make the newsletter even better. They may be
sent electronically or by mail, and if they are sent
by mail they will be returned to you promptly. If you
have anything you would like to submit to the
newsletter, or if you have an idea but are not sure
how to approach it, please feel free to contact me.

Dear Friends of Guinea,

Human Rights First is looking for a country conditions expert on Guinea
to provide an affidavit of support and testify in support of the asylum
claim of one of our clients. The client is scheduled for his individual
(final merits) hearing on June 24, 2008. If you are a scholar whose
area of research includes Guinea and you might be able to assist in this
time frame, please contact me with your CV at the information below,
which I will forward to the client's attorneys.

If you are a scholar who will not be able to assist on this particular
case but might be interested in being contacted about future cases, I
would appreciate hearing from you, as we handle a large number of cases
from Guinea.

Thanks for any assistance you might be able to provide.

Best wishes,

Lily Dalke
