Hi all,
See below for a message from a research intern looking for information on the persecution of single Mandingo women in Guinea. You can reply to her directly at koffordk at uchastings.edu

Greetings Stephanie,
My name is Kelsey Kofford, and I am conducting research on behalf of the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies at UC Hastings Law School in San Francisco, California. My research is about the current status of single women in Guinea, particularly single (unmarried) Mandingo women. I am trying to learn what (if any) power, threat, or control the government or any particular populations or groups may have over these women, and if they are being persecuted based on their single status, Mandingo ethnicity, or perhaps the two in conjunction? It seems there is an absolute dearth of any current research or reporting on this subject, so I figured I would direct my inquiry to a legitmate source knowledgable about Guinea, and as such I am reaching out to you for any answers or thoughts you may have. Perhaps you could be so kind as to redirect me to another individual or organization who might be able to assist me in my query if you have no time or information to
share yourself?
I thank you very much for your assistance, and in advance for any response.
Respectfully,
Kelsey Kofford
