The following message was sent to me by an individual seeking information about travelling to Guinea:

Howdy!

I'm going to Guinea for a month and a half in the next couple of weeks with Farmer-to-Farmer (but they're having some difficulty pulling things together at the African end it seems) to work on a beekeeping project like others I have worked on in various capacities over the years (starting as a PCV in Ecuador shortly after the earth cooled).
I would like to talk to a RPCV recently returned from Guinea about all those little things you can't find out on Wikipedia (what hand gestures are going to imply physically intimate interactions that one is really not committed to making, how many trips to the latrine in a day are actually a cause for concern, what sauces are likely to melt your cutlery, etc
)

If someone in your group would be willing to drop me an e-mail with their phone number I'd like to call them within the next couple of weeks (they're of course welcome to call me but I've got a phone plan that allows me unlimited calls to anywhere in North America).

Thanks!
