I would recommend you stay at the Hotel Camayenne or the Novotel in Conakry both hotels are in the city and transportation to and from the Airport will be easily available.  They also would not be out of electricity.  In Labe, there is a hotel at the entrance of the city which was very clean and managed by a certain Mr. Diallo, who could speak few words in English, the last time I was there (10 years ago.In Koundara there is also a hotel in the center of the town ( my husband is originally from SareBoido in Koundara.  Hope this information helps

Hello everyone,

Thanks to those of you who very helpfully responded to
my question about research requirements. 

I have another question: Does anyone have a suggestion
of hotels to stay at in Conakry, as well as (if they
exist) in Labe or Koundara? I'm looking for something
that's comfortable enough, accessible, and safe, but
it hardly needs to be five-star luxury.
