1. ISLAMIC BARBARIANS AT THE GATES OF JERUSALEM

The Arabic Satellite TV station Al-Jazeera shows footage of two =
Islamic Jihad leaders sitting at a table, speaking about the recent =
Israeli operation in Gaza against the terrorist infrastructure there, =
with the head of an Israeli soldier sitting in front of them on the =
table.=20
Later, a video appears on an Al-Qaeda-linked website showing the =
beheading of an American civilian in Iraq, Nick Berg, who was a Jew. In =
a grisly gesture, the executioners hold up the man's head for the =
camera. The decapitation recalled the kidnapping and videotaped =
beheading of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl - another Jew - =
in 2002 in Pakistan. Then, Al-Jazeera rebroadcast this beheading scene, =
like the earlier scene of an Israeli soldier's head sitting on a table, =
throughout the Arab world.=20
What's going on here?=20
The executioner in Iraq claimed his killing of a random American =
civilian, was revenge for the mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners in the Abu =
Ghraib prison. But one can wonder if Nick Berg was picked out because he =
was Jewish. The photos and reports of abuse and degrading behavior =
toward the Iraqi prisoners need to be investigated, and properly =
punished. But was "revenge" against an innocent American civilian =
justified?=20
As the American President, George Bush stated, "There will be a =
full accounting for the cruel and disgraceful abuse of the Iraqi =
detainees. The conduct that has come to light is an insult to the Iraqi =
people and an affront to the most basic standards of morality and =
decency. One basic difference between democracies and dictatorships is =
that free countries confront such abuses openly and directly... Today, =
several formal investigations, led by senior military officials, are =
underway... Some soldiers have already been charged, and those involved =
will answer for their conduct in an orderly and transparent process."=20
What we all know is that the behavior of a few American soldiers =
in Iraq does not represent the values of America, or the West in =
general.=20
Every once in a great while, an Israeli soldier is disciplined for =
abuses toward the enemy also. But that's the point; it's not very often =
and they're being disciplined, in Israel and in America. These =
stressed-out behaviors by men and women put by their governments into =
very difficult situations aren't tolerated, and they are held =
accountable for their behavior.=20
Contrast this with the outrages perpetrated at the end of March in =
Fallujah, Iraq. The bodies of four murdered American security =
contractors are mutilated, then burned and displayed in public. Crowds =
gathered around to joyously view the dead Americans.=20
In Gaza, they also celebrated the mutilation of the Americans...=20
And now this: the Israeli Army entered Zeitoun in Gaza recently, =
to destroy "Palestinian" weapons factories. In the operation, the =
soldiers blew up some 20 workshops that were used by terror groups to =
make weapons. The operation encountered resistance from hundreds of =
"Palestinian" fighters, but the Israeli troops suffered no casualties. =
After dawn, as the operation was being wrapped up, the soldiers began to =
withdraw from Zeitoun, when a bomb containing approximately 100 =
kilograms (220 pounds) of explosives was detonated against an Israeli =
armored personnel carrier carrying six members of the Givati Brigade's =
engineering corps. The vehicle was carrying explosives for use in =
demolishing the weapons manufactories, which intensified the effects of =
the blast. Pieces of the APC and of the soldiers' bodies were scattered =
for hundreds of meters roundabout, even landing on the rooftops of =
neighboring buildings.=20
Soon after the blast, Hamas terrorists excitedly displayed and =
played with the body parts in front of cameras. Gazan Arabs were seen =
dancing in the streets with pieces of the destroyed Israeli APC and =
pieces of dead Israeli soldiers. In another scene, shown on Israel's =
Channel Two TV, a Hamas gunman on a motorcycle held a bloodied burlap =
bag with body parts. An armed Hamas barbarian bragged how he had human =
remains from the APC blast; he proceeded to pull a finger out of the bag =
and shouted, "This is for Sheikh Yassin, and for the rest you'll pay in =
liberated prisoners." Fatah - Arafat's group - Hamas, and Islamic Jihad =
all competed to claim responsibility for the attack. It seemed like =
everyone in the neighborhood had a piece of metal they claimed came from =
the APC, or a piece of human remains that they said belonged to the =
Israeli soldiers. =

And then, this macabre scene on Al-Jazeera TV: hooded Islamic =
Jihad spokesmen, sitting and talking on camera, with a human head from a =
dead Israeli soldier sitting in front of them on the table, as if =
nothing strange was happening. It was like a scene right out of a =
Hollywood horror flick, with the demented evil ones right before our =
eyes, except this was real...=20
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, participating in a Knesset =
ceremony commemorating the 59th anniversary since the end of World War =
II, responded to the APC blast by describing Israel's enemy as "cruel =
and inhumane."=20
Sharon told the Knesset, "We are fighting a ruthless enemy, =
without human feelings," and that Israel would strike back hard. "We =
will not stop fighting [the enemy] and hitting him, wherever he operates =
and hides," Sharon said. He added that Israel must continue striking out =
until the enemy is defeated.=20
In a quickly convened security cabinet meeting, it was reported =
that Finance Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said the families of the slain =
soldiers should be asked for permission to distribute abroad the grisly =
footage of the "Palestinians" desecrating the bodies, so that the world =
will have a clear picture of the "monsters we are dealing with."=20
Even funerals and memorial services apparently are no longer =
sacred...=20
Recently, a pregnant Israeli mother and her four young daughters =
were shot to death in their car on a Gazan road. First, the terrorist =
barbarians shot at the car, then, as it veered off the road and came to =
a stop, they ran over to the car and, at point-blank range, shot each of =
the occupants to death: Tali, the eight-month pregnant mother, Hila, 11, =
Hadar, 9, Roni, 7, and two-year-old Meirav. The murderers then continued =
to fire dozens of more bullets into their bodies.=20
When mourners came to the site of the murder for a memorial =
service a week later, the terrorist barbarians, one of them apparently =
dressed as a woman, opened fire at the hundreds of Jews who came to =
participate. "Bullets whistled past our ears, and between our legs, and =
miraculously, no one was hurt," said the Gazan Jewish Community =
spokesman Eran Sternberg. IDF soldiers managed to kill two of the =
attackers.=20
"It was a humiliating experience for Jews who come to remember a =
slaughtered family to have to crouch and lie down while terrorists shoot =
wildly around," said David Hatuel - husband and father of those murdered =
- after the attack.=20
But these are the "New Barbarians"...=20
Even the Palestinian Authority understood that it wouldn't look =
good for them. They called on the terror groups and residents of the =
Gaza Strip who hold remains of the IDF soldiers to return the parts. In =
the statement, released after a meeting of PA officials in Ramallah, the =
Palestinian leadership called on the groups to treat the bodies =
"according to Islamic law, and not to harm Islamic values." The PA =
condemned the "criminal" IDF operation, but called on the groups not to =
"tarnish the image and values of the Palestinians."=20
My question is, since mutilation of the enemy, and the degrading =
display of body parts is so widespread in the Arab world, is it really =
"against Islamic values" to do? What about the fact that Arafat's own =
group, Fatah, vied for claiming responsibility? And what about =
suicidal-genocidal bombing of innocent civilians, which certainly seems =
to have the go ahead of Islamic clerics?=20
Then along comes Prof. Yonah Alexander, a leading expert on =
terrorism and director of the Inter-Universities Center for Terrorism =
Studies, who in an interview recently said he believes it is only a =
matter of time before groups like al-Qaeda will use non-conventional =
weapons to propagate their Jihadist ideology and undermine Western =
Society. Alexander feels that al-Qaeda's next theater of operations will =
be Europe, where they have established an extensive network.=20
What he doesn't say is that besides the terror network they've set =
up, Muslims have been converting Europeans in droves to Islam.=20
In the United Kingdom, according to the first authoritative study =
of the phenomenon, carried by the Sunday Times on February 22, some of =
Britain's top landowners, celebrities, and the offspring of senior =
establishment figures, have embraced Islam after being disillusioned =
with Western values. For example, Jonathan Birt, the son of Lord Birt, =
former director-general of the BBC, and Emma Clark, the granddaughter of =
former liberal Prime Minister Herbert Asquith, are only two of 14,000 =
mostly-elite white Britons who have converted to Islam recently, =
according to the Sunday Times. Emma Clark said, "We're all the rage, I =
hope it's not a passing fashion."=20
Islam has even received formal acceptance at the heart of the =
British Establishment. The Queen recently approved new arrangements to =
allow Muslim staff at Buckingham Palace time off to attend Friday =
prayers at a mosque. A member of staff in the finance department was the =
first to take advantage of it.=20
Many converts have been inspired by the pro-Islamic writings of =
Charles Le Gai Eaton, a former Foreign Office diplomat. "I have received =
letters from people who are put off by the wishy-washy standards of =
contemporary Christianity and they are looking for a religion which does =
not compromise too much with the modern world," said Eaton, who is =
author of Islam and the Destiny of Man.=20
There have been several cases in the last couple of years, of =
coverts to Islam helping in the terror effort, for example the British =
"shoe bomber," and a British covert that planned on carrying out a =
Hizbollah attack in Israel. At least, both were captured before they =
could carry out their operations.=20
Alexander continued, "We can expect to see an escalation in =
terrorism on a global scale with a continuation of conventional acts of =
terror, such as suicide bombings and shooting, as well as mega-terror =
like September 11 in the US and March 11 in Spain. There will also be a =
move towards the use of non-conventional weapons: biological, chemical, =
nuclear as in dirty bombs, and cyber-terrorism, whereby perpetrators =
will try to disrupt power supplies and air traffic, for example, at the =
touch of a button."=20
He cited the examples of the anthrax attacks in the US after =
September 11, 2001, reports that al-Qaeda was trying to produce ricin, =
and the unsuccessful attempt to blow up the Pi Glilot fuel and gas =
storage depot in Israel as an indication toward the future. "According =
to the studies we have conducted, we can expect a continuation of bus =
bombings like the ones that have occurred in Israel, as well as attempts =
to strike at chemical plants and infrastructure targets and =
super-terrorism with non-conventional weapons," said Alexander.=20
Beheadings, disgusting abuse of human remains, suicide bombings, =
and now mass genocidal terror?=20
In predicting that international terrorism will expand and =
intensify, Alexander referred to numerous disputes throughout the world, =
such as those in Chechnya, Kashmir, Afghanistan, the Middle East, and =
South America. He forgot to mention the Philippines and South Asia.=20
Notice most of these places include Muslims on one side of the =
conflict....=20
But, I feel Alexander is mistaken when he said, "Islam has been =
hijacked and taken hostage by extremists who are using it to serve their =
own interests." Suicide bombings against Israelis regularly garner =
50-80% support amongst "Palestinians."=20
This is the same line of reasoning that George Bush and others =
have been using to divide the Arab/Islamic world into friends and foes. =
I don't agree. I believe the Jihadists speak for real Islam, as =
originally set out by Mohammed and his barbarian hordes. Islam started =
out as an Arab Imperialist movement, and has only put a "thin veneer" of =
"religion" over it. Notice, they started in Arabia and ended up ruling =
everything throughout the Middle East and North Africa, up to Spain and =
Southern France by the 700s. The Jihadists openly state that they want =
to introduce a worldwide caliphate, i.e. global Islamic conquest. But =
this has always been "traditional" Islam's ultimate goal too.=20
"What concerns many is the expansion of international networks as =
seen after the Madrid bombings, when links were discovered between =
Spanish citizens and people in North Africa, Asia, and with various =
other groups like Hamas," Alexander explained.=20
Because they draw from Muslim communities throughout the world; =
every Muslim is a potential Jihadist.=20
Alexander asked whether nations should give in to terrorism and =
whether civilization would survive in the event of the use of =
non-conventional weapons. He answered that submission only further =
motivates the terrorists and their leaders, while survival would depend =
on nations taking all necessary steps to reduce the risks. "Dealing with =
terrorism requires a broad range of responses, starting with clear and =
coherent policies. It is necessary to have quality intelligence, as well =
as law enforcement, the military, and the means to counter technological =
and cyber-terrorism.=20
"To this end some innocent civilians might be harmed but, make no =
mistake, this is war and to fight it nations have to pool their =
resources. No nation can deal with the problem unilaterally. In the =
past, terrorism was regarded as a tactical rather than a strategic =
threat but it has become a permanent fixture and a challenge to the =
strategic interests of nations. In fact," said Alexander, "it represents =
the most threatening challenge to civilization in the 21st century. The =
question of survival will depend to a great extent on how civilized =
society tackles this threat."=20
There you have it, the ultimate question, "How will civilized =
society tackle this threat?"=20
The Islamic barbarians are at the gates of Jerusalem, the gates of =
Europe, and have attacked the towers of America...=20
Will we let them in?=20

2. STOP NAVEL GAZING

We are in a world war and yet we do not notice it.=20
Over the past few weeks reports have abounded about the widening =
berth of the forces of global jihad. On Tuesday, The New York Times =
reported that al-Qaida linked groups are operating in Africa from the =
Western Sahara to the Horn of Africa. The jihadis in countries like =
Niger, Chad and Mali are being financed, trained and indoctrinated by =
religious authorities from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.=20
The recent elections in Indonesia ended with neither major party =
receiving much more than one fifth of the popular vote. In Indonesia's =
parliamentary system this means that the small Islamic parties will be =
able to exert great influence over the new government which will need to =
bring them into the governing coalition to rule.=20
In Nigeria this week Muslim mobs brandishing machetes butchered =
some thirty Christians in the streets of the city of Kano. The panicked =
Christians ran for shelter in police stations as they watched their =
co-religionists butchered and set aflame before their eyes.=20
The problems in Nigeria began in 1999 after elections brought an =
end to military rule in the oil rich country. Today 11 of Nigeria's 36 =
states are governed by Sharia law. Rights of women and non-Muslims in =
these areas have been summarily destroyed. Nigeria's turn to jihad has =
been spurred on by foreign Arabs. Palestinians, Saudis, Syrians and =
Sudanese have all been acting as advisers to the mullahs in Nigeria and =
have been actively funding and training the Muslim militias that have =
killed thousands of Christians there over the past few years.=20
In the Philippines, President Gloria Arroyo has given de facto =
autonomy over large swathes of the country to an al-Qaida linked group, =
the Moro Islamic Liberation Front operating in the southern parts of the =
archipelago dominated by the country's Muslim minority. The MILF too is =
supported by the Saudis and other Arab states with money, arms and jihad =
indoctrination.=20
Both western intelligence agencies and casual observers are =
casting worried glances at Europe itself. With Western Europe's large =
and increasingly extremist Muslim minorities demanding cultural autonomy =
while preaching and funding and training men for jihad, many EU member =
states are looking more and more like Islamic countries everyday.=20
All of this should be taken into account when we look at the =
bloody toll of the Palestinian offensive in Gaza and when we observe =
American confusion in Iraq today. It should be taken into account =
because we must realize that our enemies are engaged in a world war =
against the non-Muslim world. When we consider our daily battles on our =
limited terrain we must not allow our perceptions to be distorted by =
that directly before us.=20
Yet undermine our perceptive powers we have. Although the =
Palestinians, like their Iranian and Hizbullah overlords have =
consistently stated that their aim is to destroy Israel in stages, we =
Israelis refuse to see the overall picture of their strategy. They =
execute Tali Hatuel and her daughters on the day of the Likud poll and =
we fail to understand the message. It is not, "Get out of Gaza, or =
else." It is, "Regardless of what you desire, we will push you out of =
Gaza as we pushed you out of Lebanon and as we will push you out of the =
rest of Palestine that you refer to as Israel."=20
But we don't see it that way. Our press, like our beleaguered and =
vain politicians, pushes a different story. In their story, there is no =
enemy, only Israel. There is no jihad, only settlers provocatively =
daring to live in their homes and soldiers carrying too much explosive =
material in their armored personnel carriers and tanks. It is the =
settlers who "endanger" their children and the soldiers who placed too =
much TNT in their APCs who are responsible for their deaths.=20
We do not see news analyses of Palestinian societal derangement =
that manifests itself in cannibalism. We do not see debates of what an =
Israeli defeat in Gaza means to a society bred from the cradle to the =
grave on global jihad and its requisite genocide of the Jewish people in =
the Land of Israel and beyond.=20
Indeed, we see no discussion of Gaza as part of a larger whole - =
whether that whole be the entire Land of Israel or the entire non-Muslim =
world. Because we limit our gaze with super telephoto lenses to see only =
that immediately before us, our picture of the war being waged against =
us is taken up almost entirely by ourselves with the enemy barely =
visible at the outer edges of the frame.=20
Rather than learning from our mistakes, over the past month or so =
we have seen our American allies repeat them in Iraq. There, the US has =
limited its gaze to itself. Can the US forces enter into sacred Shiite =
towns or not? Can US forces engage in house to house battles, risking =
civilian casualties in Fallujah or not? Can the US empower its allies =
and weaken its enemies in Iraq without being perceived (by itself) as =
imperialistic? Can the US continue its occupation of Iraq and campaign =
to bring freedom to this malformed Arab state when a handful of its =
soldiers besmirch the honor of their uniforms by abusing Iraqi enemy =
prisoners in Abu Ghraib prison?=20
The questions here are not turned to the enemy that transforms =
sacred cities into armed camps and hides behind civilians, rendering =
them either fellow terrorists or hostages. The question, why would the =
US send 135,000 US troops to liberate Iraq only to have them turn it =
over to the same UN supported Ba'athist forces they were brought to Iraq =
to defeat is resoundingly ignored.=20
The confused Bush administration is not asked why the president =
should seek the approval of the Arab world for America's actions or =
forgiveness for its failings. It is not asked this even though, as the =
American scholar Fuad Ajami pointed out this week in The Wall Street =
Journal, the Arabs preferred Saddam's butchers to the American =
liberators and prefer to see Iraq revert to pan-Arab fascism and tyranny =
to its emerging as a secular democracy.=20
Indeed in the recent weeks of American Israeli-style navel gazing =
on Iraq, we see little questioning of what US retreats in Fallujah and =
hesitancy in Najaf do to the forces of jihad throughout the world. There =
is little note paid to the fact that in the attack on foreign workers in =
Yanbu, Saudi Arabia and the beginning of the month, the body of one of =
the American victims was tied to the terrorists' vehicle and dragged =
through the streets of the city as the terrorists invoked the lynching =
of US contractors in Fallujah in late March to the crowd that formed =
around them.=20
In the US tendency towards Israeli style self-obsession, we see =
them like us, buying into the psychological warfare of the enemy aimed =
at forcing their retreat. So it is that in the barbaric butchering of =
Nick Berg, the American press reports as fact the terrorists' contention =
that Berg's beheading was retribution for the abuse of Iraqi prisoners =
in Abu Ghraib.=20
Of course this is a lie. Daniel Pearl was beheaded before the US =
invaded Iraq. The workers in Yanbu were murdered a year after the US =
pulled its military forces out of Saudi Arabia. The US contractors were =
lynched before the Marines went into Fallujah.=20
When we pay attention to our enemies and see the scope of their =
ambitions and depth of their hatred we must come to a revolutionary =
conclusion. We, Israelis, Americans, and indeed all non-fascistic =
Muslims constitute the frontline in the war wherever we are. It was not =
US military deployment in Saudi Arabia that precipitated the September =
11 attacks anymore than it was the Israeli presence in Lebanon or in =
Gaza or Judea and Samaria or Jerusalem that precipitated the =
Palestinian-led jihad against Israel. It is our existence that provokes =
our enemy.=20
Our enemies, the forces of global jihad, be they Palestinian or =
Jordanian, Saudi, Egyptian, Syrian, Lebanese, Iranian or Iraqi use all =
the means at their disposal to wage their war against us. From their =
television and radio stations and newspapers they incite for our =
destruction and feed us fictions of our own culpability to both =
strengthen their forces' will to fight us and weaken our will to defend =
ourselves.=20
In the UN, the Arab League, the Organization of the Islamic =
Conference and on countless other international stages they seek to =
criminalize us for our crime of defending our existence. In this they =
find accomplices among our own self-absorbed elites who are only too =
happy to blame the war being waged against us on ourselves.=20
When we limit our gaze to ourselves not only do we fail to take =
notice of the nature of the war, we craft national policies that harm =
both ourselves and our allies. In Israel, our self-obsession has brought =
about plan after plan all of which have weakened us and our allies in =
the global struggle. From the Oslo initiative to the retreat from =
Lebanon to Sharon's pullout plan from Gaza and parts of Samaria we have =
hurt ourselves and our allies.=20
We have hurt ourselves by weakening our ability to recognize our =
enemies as such seeing them rather as erstwhile peace partners. We have =
hurt ourselves by discrediting our own right to live unmolested as large =
swathes of our elites have preferred our enemies the Palestinians to our =
own citizens in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.=20
In behaving as though the Palestinian branch of the global jihad =
is engaging in a war over a few kilometers in Gaza, Judea and Samaria =
rather than playing a central role in the global jihad against =
non-Muslims, we are making it harder for our allies, first and foremost =
the Americans, to see the true nature of the war they too are fighting. =
If it is only Israeli settlers who are preventing peace by living in =
mobile homes in Judea and Samaria then perhaps it is only America in its =
"arrogance" that is preventing the jihadis from coming to a meeting of =
the minds with the West.=20
As the jihad spreads throughout the world, we must stop finally =
with our self-destructive self-absorption. The butchers in Zeitoun who =
kicked the remains of our soldiers like footballs on Tuesday, like the =
butchers in Baghdad, Karachi, Riyadh and beyond who kill with barbaric =
ecstasy and primordial hatred do so not because of anything we have =
done. They do so because they are barbarians. And if we do not wish to =
be destroyed, we must do everything to destroy them and nothing to give =
them hope for victory against us.=20

3. GOD DOESN'T MAKE MISTAKES, MR. MOFAZ

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Deputy Prime Minister Ehud =
Olmert and Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz have decided that the settling =
of Jews in Gaza was an historic mistake.=20
But as the painful events of the past few weeks have shown, it is =
these Israeli leaders who are erring.=20
Like the owners of the Titanic who said that "God Himself could =
not sink her," they are, as it were, forcing the hand of the Almighty.=20
Thus, despite his own party's referendum decision, and the more =
than 100,000 Israelis who voted with their feet against abandoning Gaza, =
Sharon remains determined to do just that.=20
Stung by taunts from Israel's God-rejecting left who assert that =
the majority of their countrymen want out of the Strip, the premier is =
buying into the lie that NOT pulling out of Gaza would be =
anti-democratic.=20
Olmert, Sharon's terrier and a man with his own sights on the =
prime minister's throne, dismisses detractors with the feeble reasoning =
that there is no option to leaving Gaza simply because there is no other =
plan.=20
Meanwhile, as his soldiers beat an increasingly bloody retreat =
from Gaza - and it is a retreat, even if more soldiers are being poured =
in just now to try and ensure it takes place on Israel's terms - Mofaz =
has taken to assaulting the bedrock beliefs upon which many of Gaza's =
8000 Jews based their decision to live there.=20
"Gaza is not our birthright nor the land of our forefathers, and =
we will not be there within five years," he declared on May 9, according =
to The Jerusalem Post. "Under any final-status agreement, it is clear =
that Gaza will remain outside the borders of Israel."=20
Outside the borders of Israel? Well, that may be clear to Minister =
Mofaz. But with all the respect due to him and his fellow ministers, and =
leaving aside for a moment all those Jews who have and are giving their =
lives in defense of the Jewish presence in Gaza, the LORD God of Israel =
neither makes mistakes nor repents of the calling He has placed on His =
people.=20
So either Mr. Mofaz does not know the Bible - a validated document =
known to be one of the most ancient land deeds of all time - or he is =
out to refute it.=20
According to the Bible, Gaza was part of the inheritance given to =
the children of Israel in the past (Numbers 34:2-6), and promised to =
them for the future (Ezekiel 47:19-20). Gaza was specifically given to =
the tribe of Judah - from whence come Mofaz's people, the Jews. (Joshua =
15: 20,47)=20
Under Joshua, the Israelites conquered the land as far as Gaza =
(Joshua 10:40-42), but in line with the promise of its designated =
territorial legacy, it was the tribe of Judah that took that land in =
battle. (Judges 1:18)=20
The Gaza Strip was also a part of Solomon's kingdom. (1 Kings =
4:24)=20
So the Bible, at least, is quite clear about who owns Gaza.=20
The Jewish settlers who live in Gaza today have built the homes =
and gardens of their beautiful communities based upon these title deeds. =
In 1967, in what millions of Jews and Gentiles believed to be a =
miracle, the Arab occupiers were driven out of Judea and Samaria and the =
illegally occupied Gaza Strip, back to where they came from.=20
While Israel's soldiers fought bravely and brilliantly in the Six =
Day War, it was God Who gave that victory. It was not a mistake. Rather, =
it was another step in His unfolding plan to "restore the kingdom to =
Israel."=20
For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, =
nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, =
and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them. . But You =
have saved us from our enemies, and have put to shame those who hated =
us. (Psalm 44:3,7)=20
By declaring that no-one can teach them about security, and by =
threatening to abandon Gaza and uproot its Jews in order to pursue the =
bankrupt land-for-peace process, Sharon et al are showing a blanket =
disregard for what the Bible has stated and affirmed. The cost of this =
folly is an ever-spiraling fatality figure - first the mother of the =
Hatuel family with her five kids, and now at least 11 Israeli soldiers.=20
Will the rush of violence in Gaza push Israel to accelerate the =
withdrawal, as leftist Israelis are gleefully anticipating? Or has =
Sharon's determination to move ahead with the pullout un-bottled a =
war-genie that will force Israel to resolutely confront and deal with =
the terrorism-breeding Arabs in the Gaza Strip?=20
The coming days will tell.=20

4. A VERY HARD WEEK

This has been a - what shall we say?... well, an especially hard =
week - even for Israel which is accustomed to hard times. It was also =
especially brutal, even for a brutal, ongoing war.=20
First there was the vicious murder of Tali Hatuel, in her eighth =
month of pregnancy, and her four daughters - Hila age 11, Hadar 9, Roni =
7 and Meirav 2. Not only were they shot while driving on the highway, =
but when the car ground to a halt, their Arab-Moslem-Palestinian =
murderers came up and emptied their guns point blank into Tali and each =
of her children, riddling their bodies with dozens of bullets - to make =
sure they were indeed dead and to better mutilate their bodies.=20
Then, one week later at a memorial ceremony for Tali and her =
daughters, at the spot on the road where they were killed, as several =
hundred participants, including many women and children, were praying, =
Arabs opened fire from houses from two directions. The ensuing chaos - =
screaming children, parents running for shelter with babies in their =
arms, people dropping down to the asphalt on the open highway and =
sheltering their children - was terrifying.=20
The people at the ceremony, many of whom carried weapons, returned =
fire until a few minutes later, the army went into action and began =
shelling one of the houses the Arabs were firing from. By a =
mind-boggling miracle, not a single Israeli was shot or hurt in this =
wild free for all, although all were out in plain view, directly in =
front of the shooting Arabs. Two out of the three Arabs were killed.=20
Several days later, the Israeli army entered a neighborhood in =
Gaza to destroy weapons laboratories which were producing mortar shells =
and rockets to fire into Israel. A large landmine exploded alongside one =
of the army halftracks and the vehicle, loaded with munitions and =
dynamite intended for the demolition of the workshops, exploded, killing =
the six soldiers inside.=20
Before the IDF could reach them, the surrounding Arabs snatched =
bodies and body parts, dancing with and displaying them before the =
ever-present international television cameras (which did not hurry to =
televise the orgy). Within the hour various Arab terrorist groups =
proudly announced that the bodies parts had been distributed throughout =
Gaza and would be returned only when Arab "demands" were met. Meanwhile, =
the fighting continued as Israeli soldiers go from house to house =
searching.=20
Then, only two days later, the story was repeated as another =
landmine blew up another two Israeli vehicles. What the number of dead =
and wounded are has still not been announced.=20
By the time you read this, perhaps, hopefully, b'ezrat Hashem, all =
the bodies will have been found, collected and brought to Jewish burial. =
Perhaps.=20
Meanwhile, the voices of "peace" are already screaming loudly, as =
if pulling back, running away, refusing to stand up and defeat evil, =
will somehow, miraculously, produce a more peaceful world.=20
In Hebrew, one always places the noun - the essence we are =
speaking of - before the adjective it comes to describe it. We say yeled =
tov - a boy who is good. The "boy" is the essence; he comes first. The =
description "good" follows.=20
But in the Torah, the description of Ishmael is out of order, =
backwards, just the opposite of normative Hebrew. He is not called an =
adam pereh - a man who is wild. He is called a pereh adam. He is first =
and foremost a pereh - a wild creature who is described as appearing in =
the form of adam - a man.=20
This is our enemy. This is who we are fighting. This is what we =
must remember. And not only must we remember. This is the enemy which =
the entire world now confronts. The "Islamic fundamentalists," the =
terrorists, and all those who passively or actively support them - they =
are all "wild creatures," messengers of death, out to destroy the world. =
As an editorial in a Florida newspaper wrote:=20
"There may be a silent majority of peaceful Muslims around the =
world, but that did not save 3,000 people in the World Trade Center, the =
million gassed and butchered in Iraq, Iran, and other countries in the =
Middle East, the tens of thousands slain by Moslems in Eastern Europe =
and Asia, the hundreds blown to bits in the West Bank and Spain, or the =
four Americans shot, burned and hung like sausage over the Euphrates as =
a fanatical minority of Muslims did the joyful dance of death."=20
If the world does not recognize the imminent danger and take steps =
not only to protect itself, but to combat the danger, it may very well =
not only witness - but experience - another holocaust.=20

of them on the table.=20
<P>Later, a video appears on an Al-Qaeda-linked website showing =
the=20
beheading of an American civilian in Iraq, Nick Berg, who was a =
Jew. In a=20
grisly gesture, the executioners hold up the man's head for the =
camera.=20
The decapitation recalled the kidnapping and videotaped beheading =
of Wall=20
Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl - another Jew - in 2002 in =
Pakistan.=20
Then, Al-Jazeera rebroadcast this beheading scene, like the =
earlier scene=20
of an Israeli soldier's head sitting on a table, throughout the =
Arab=20
world.=20
<P>What's going on here?=20
<P>The executioner in Iraq claimed his killing of a random =
American=20
civilian, was revenge for the mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners in =
the Abu=20
Ghraib prison. But one can wonder if Nick Berg was picked out =
because he=20
was Jewish. The photos and reports of abuse and degrading behavior =
toward=20
the Iraqi prisoners need to be investigated, and properly =
punished. But=20
was "revenge" against an innocent American civilian justified?=20
<P>As the American President, George Bush stated, "There will be a =
full=20
accounting for the cruel and disgraceful abuse of the Iraqi =
detainees. The=20
conduct that has come to light is an insult to the Iraqi people =
and an=20
affront to the most basic standards of morality and decency. One =
basic=20
difference between democracies and dictatorships is that free =
countries=20
confront such abuses openly and directly... Today, several formal=20
investigations, led by senior military officials, are underway... =
Some=20
soldiers have already been charged, and those involved will answer =
for=20
their conduct in an orderly and transparent process."=20
<P>What we all know is that the behavior of a few American =
soldiers in=20
Iraq does not represent the values of America, or the West in =
general.=20
<P>Every once in a great while, an Israeli soldier is disciplined =
for=20
abuses toward the enemy also. But that's the point; it's not very =
often=20
and they're being disciplined, in Israel and in America. These=20
stressed-out behaviors by men and women put by their governments =
into very=20
difficult situations aren't tolerated, and they are held =
accountable for=20
their behavior.=20
<P>Contrast this with the outrages perpetrated at the end of March =
in=20
Fallujah, Iraq. The bodies of four murdered American security =
contractors=20
are mutilated, then burned and displayed in public. Crowds =
gathered around=20
to joyously view the dead Americans.=20
<P>In Gaza, they also celebrated the mutilation of the =
Americans...=20
<P>And now this: the Israeli Army entered Zeitoun in Gaza =
recently, to=20
destroy "Palestinian" weapons factories. In the operation, the =
soldiers=20
blew up some 20 workshops that were used by terror groups to make =
weapons.=20
The operation encountered resistance from hundreds of =
"Palestinian"=20
fighters, but the Israeli troops suffered no casualties. After =
dawn, as=20
the operation was being wrapped up, the soldiers began to withdraw =
from=20
Zeitoun, when a bomb containing approximately 100 kilograms (220 =
pounds)=20
of explosives was detonated against an Israeli armored personnel =
carrier=20
carrying six members of the Givati Brigade's engineering corps. =
The=20
vehicle was carrying explosives for use in demolishing the weapons =
manufactories, which intensified the effects of the blast. Pieces =
of the=20
APC and of the soldiers' bodies were scattered for hundreds of =
meters=20
roundabout, even landing on the rooftops of neighboring buildings. =
<P>Soon after the blast, Hamas terrorists excitedly displayed and =
played=20
with the body parts in front of cameras. Gazan Arabs were seen =
dancing in=20
the streets with pieces of the destroyed Israeli APC and pieces of =
dead=20
Israeli soldiers. In another scene, shown on Israel's Channel Two =
TV, a=20
Hamas gunman on a motorcycle held a bloodied burlap bag with body =
parts.=20
An armed Hamas barbarian bragged how he had human remains from the =
APC=20
blast; he proceeded to pull a finger out of the bag and shouted, =
"This is=20
for Sheikh Yassin, and for the rest you'll pay in liberated =
prisoners."=20
Fatah - Arafat's group - Hamas, and Islamic Jihad all competed to =
claim=20
responsibility for the attack. It seemed like everyone in the =
neighborhood=20
had a piece of metal they claimed came from the APC, or a piece of =
human=20
remains that they said belonged to the Israeli=20

spokesmen, sitting and talking on camera, with a human head from a =

Israeli soldier sitting in front of them on the table, as if =
nothing=20
strange was happening. It was like a scene right out of a =
Hollywood horror=20
flick, with the demented evil ones right before our eyes, except =
this was=20
real...=20
<P>Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, participating in a Knesset =
ceremony commemorating the 59th anniversary since the end of World =
War II,=20
responded to the APC blast by describing Israel's enemy as "cruel =
and=20
inhumane."=20
<P>Sharon told the Knesset, "We are fighting a ruthless enemy, =
without=20
human feelings," and that Israel would strike back hard. "We will =
not stop=20
fighting [the enemy] and hitting him, wherever he operates and =
hides,"=20
Sharon said. He added that Israel must continue striking out until =
the=20
enemy is defeated.=20
<P>In a quickly convened security cabinet meeting, it was reported =
that=20
Finance Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said the families of the slain =
soldiers should be asked for permission to distribute abroad the =
grisly=20
footage of the "Palestinians" desecrating the bodies, so that the =
world=20
will have a clear picture of the "monsters we are dealing with."=20
<P>Even funerals and memorial services apparently are no longer =
sacred...=20
<P>Recently, a pregnant Israeli mother and her four young =
daughters were=20
shot to death in their car on a Gazan road. First, the terrorist=20
barbarians shot at the car, then, as it veered off the road and =
came to a=20
stop, they ran over to the car and, at point-blank range, shot =
each of the=20
occupants to death: Tali, the eight-month pregnant mother, Hila, =
11,=20
Hadar, 9, Roni, 7, and two-year-old Meirav. The murderers then =
continued=20
to fire dozens of more bullets into their bodies.=20
<P>When mourners came to the site of the murder for a memorial =
service a=20
week later, the terrorist barbarians, one of them apparently =
dressed as a=20
woman, opened fire at the hundreds of Jews who came to =
participate.=20
"Bullets whistled past our ears, and between our legs, and =
miraculously,=20
no one was hurt," said the Gazan Jewish Community spokesman Eran=20
Sternberg. IDF soldiers managed to kill two of the attackers.=20
<P>"It was a humiliating experience for Jews who come to remember =
a=20
slaughtered family to have to crouch and lie down while terrorists =
shoot=20
wildly around," said David Hatuel - husband and father of those =
murdered -=20
after the attack.=20
<P>But these are the "New Barbarians"...=20
<P>Even the Palestinian Authority understood that it wouldn't look =
good=20
for them. They called on the terror groups and residents of the =
Gaza Strip=20
who hold remains of the IDF soldiers to return the parts. In the=20
statement, released after a meeting of PA officials in Ramallah, =
the=20
Palestinian leadership called on the groups to treat the bodies =
"according=20
to Islamic law, and not to harm Islamic values." The PA condemned =
the=20
"criminal" IDF operation, but called on the groups not to "tarnish =
the=20
image and values of the Palestinians."=20
<P>My question is, since mutilation of the enemy, and the =
degrading=20
display of body parts is so widespread in the Arab world, is it =
really=20
"against Islamic values" to do? What about the fact that Arafat's =
own=20
group, Fatah, vied for claiming responsibility? And what about=20
suicidal-genocidal bombing of innocent civilians, which certainly =
seems to=20
have the go ahead of Islamic clerics?=20
<P>Then along comes Prof. Yonah Alexander, a leading expert on =
terrorism=20
and director of the Inter-Universities Center for Terrorism =
Studies, who=20
in an interview recently said he believes it is only a matter of =
time=20
before groups like al-Qaeda will use non-conventional weapons to =
propagate=20
their Jihadist ideology and undermine Western Society. Alexander =
feels=20
that al-Qaeda's next theater of operations will be Europe, where =
they have=20
established an extensive network.=20
<P>What he doesn't say is that besides the terror network they've =
set up,=20
Muslims have been converting Europeans in droves to Islam.=20
<P>In the United Kingdom, according to the first authoritative =
study of=20
the phenomenon, carried by the Sunday Times on February 22, some =
of=20
Britain's top landowners, celebrities, and the offspring of senior =
establishment figures, have embraced Islam after being =
disillusioned with=20
Western values. For example, Jonathan Birt, the son of Lord Birt, =
former=20
director-general of the BBC, and Emma Clark, the granddaughter of =
former=20

have conducted, we can expect a continuation of bus bombings like =
the ones=20
that have occurred in Israel, as well as attempts to strike at =
chemical=20
plants and infrastructure targets and super-terrorism with=20

<P>In predicting that international terrorism will expand and =

Alexander referred to numerous disputes throughout the world, such =

those in Chechnya, Kashmir, Afghanistan, the Middle East, and =

America. He forgot to mention the Philippines and South Asia.=20
<P>Notice most of these places include Muslims on one side of the=20
conflict....=20
<P>But, I feel Alexander is mistaken when he said, "Islam has been =
hijacked and taken hostage by extremists who are using it to serve =

own interests." Suicide bombings against Israelis regularly garner =
50-80%=20
support amongst "Palestinians."=20
<P>This is the same line of reasoning that George Bush and others =
have=20
been using to divide the Arab/Islamic world into friends and foes. =
I don't=20
agree. I believe the Jihadists speak for real Islam, as originally =
set out=20
by Mohammed and his barbarian hordes. Islam started out as an Arab =
Imperialist movement, and has only put a "thin veneer" of =
"religion" over=20
it. Notice, they started in Arabia and ended up ruling everything=20
throughout the Middle East and North Africa, up to Spain and =
Southern=20
France by the 700s. The Jihadists openly state that they want to =
introduce=20
a worldwide caliphate, i.e. global Islamic conquest. But this has =

and yet we=20
do not notice it.</B>=20
<P>Over the past few weeks reports have abounded about the =
widening berth=20
of the forces of global jihad. On Tuesday, <I>The New York =
Times</I>=20
reported that al-Qaida linked groups are operating in Africa from =
the=20
Western Sahara to the Horn of Africa. The jihadis in countries =
like Niger,=20
Chad and Mali are being financed, trained and indoctrinated by =
religious=20
authorities from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.=20
<P>The recent elections in Indonesia ended with neither major =
party=20
receiving much more than one fifth of the popular vote. In =
Indonesia's=20
parliamentary system this means that the small Islamic parties =
will be=20
able to exert great influence over the new government which will =
need to=20
bring them into the governing coalition to rule.=20
<P>In Nigeria this week Muslim mobs brandishing machetes butchered =
some=20
thirty Christians in the streets of the city of Kano. The panicked =
Christians ran for shelter in police stations as they watched =
their=20
co-religionists butchered and set aflame before their eyes.=20
<P>The problems in Nigeria began in 1999 after elections brought =
an end to=20
military rule in the oil rich country. Today 11 of Nigeria's 36 =
states are=20
governed by Sharia law. Rights of women and non-Muslims in these =
areas=20
have been summarily destroyed. Nigeria's turn to jihad has been =
spurred on=20
by foreign Arabs. Palestinians, Saudis, Syrians and Sudanese have =
all been=20
acting as advisers to the mullahs in Nigeria and have been =
actively=20
funding and training the Muslim militias that have killed =
thousands of=20
Christians there over the past few years.=20
<P>In the Philippines, President Gloria Arroyo has given <I>de =
facto</I>=20
autonomy over large swathes of the country to an al-Qaida linked =
group,=20
the Moro Islamic Liberation Front operating in the southern parts =
of the=20
archipelago dominated by the country's Muslim minority. The MILF =
too is=20
supported by the Saudis and other Arab states with money, arms and =
jihad=20
indoctrination.=20
<P>Both western intelligence agencies and casual observers are =
casting=20
worried glances at Europe itself. With Western Europe's large and=20
increasingly extremist Muslim minorities demanding cultural =
autonomy while=20
preaching and funding and training men for jihad, many EU member =
states=20
are looking more and more like Islamic countries everyday.=20
<P>All of this should be taken into account when we look at the =
bloody=20
toll of the Palestinian offensive in Gaza and when we observe =
American=20
confusion in Iraq today. It should be taken into account because =
we must=20
realize that our enemies are engaged in a world war against the =
non-Muslim=20
world. When we consider our daily battles on our limited terrain =
we must=20
not allow our perceptions to be distorted by that directly before =
us.=20
<P>Yet undermine our perceptive powers we have. Although the =
Palestinians,=20
like their Iranian and Hizbullah overlords have consistently =
stated that=20
their aim is to destroy Israel in stages, we Israelis refuse to =
see the=20
overall picture of their strategy. They execute Tali Hatuel and =
her=20
daughters on the day of the Likud poll and we fail to understand =
the=20
message. It is not, "Get out of Gaza, or else." It is, "Regardless =
of what=20
you desire, we will push you out of Gaza as we pushed you out of =
Lebanon=20
and as we will push you out of the rest of Palestine that you =
refer to as=20
Israel."=20
<P>But we don't see it that way. Our press, like our beleaguered =
and vain=20
politicians, pushes a different story. In their story, there is no =
enemy,=20
only Israel. There is no jihad, only settlers provocatively daring =
to live=20
in their homes and soldiers carrying too much explosive material =
in their=20
armored personnel carriers and tanks. It is the settlers who =
"endanger"=20
their children and the soldiers who placed too much TNT in their =
APCs who=20
are responsible for their deaths.=20
<P>We do not see news analyses of Palestinian societal derangement =
that=20
manifests itself in cannibalism. We do not see debates of what an =
Israeli=20
defeat in Gaza means to a society bred from the cradle to the =
grave on=20
global jihad and its requisite genocide of the Jewish people in =
the Land=20
of Israel and beyond.=20
<P>Indeed, we see no discussion of Gaza as part of a larger whole =
=96=20
whether that whole be the entire Land of Israel or the entire =
non-Muslim=20
world. Because we limit our gaze with super telephoto lenses to =
see only=20
that immediately before us, our picture of the war being waged =
against us=20
is taken up almost entirely by ourselves with the enemy barely =
visible at=20
the outer edges of the frame.=20
<P>Rather than learning from our mistakes, over the past month or =
so we=20
have seen our American allies repeat them in Iraq. There, the US =
has=20
limited its gaze to itself. Can the US forces enter into sacred =
Shiite=20
towns or not? Can US forces engage in house to house battles, =
risking=20
civilian casualties in Fallujah or not? Can the US empower its =
allies and=20
weaken its enemies in Iraq without being perceived (by itself) as=20
imperialistic? Can the US continue its occupation of Iraq and =
campaign to=20
bring freedom to this malformed Arab state when a handful of its =
soldiers=20
besmirch the honor of their uniforms by abusing Iraqi enemy =
prisoners in=20
Abu Ghraib prison?=20
<P>The questions here are not turned to the enemy that transforms =
sacred=20
cities into armed camps and hides behind civilians, rendering them =
either=20
fellow terrorists or hostages. The question, why would the US send =
135,000=20
US troops to liberate Iraq only to have them turn it over to the =
same UN=20
supported Ba'athist forces they were brought to Iraq to defeat is=20
resoundingly ignored.=20
<P>The confused Bush administration is not asked why the president =
should=20
seek the approval of the Arab world for America's actions or =
forgiveness=20
for its failings. It is not asked this even though, as the =
American=20
scholar Fuad Ajami pointed out this week in <I>The Wall Street=20
Journal</I>, the Arabs preferred Saddam's butchers to the American =
liberators and prefer to see Iraq revert to pan-Arab fascism and =
tyranny=20
to its emerging as a secular democracy.=20
<P>Indeed in the recent weeks of American Israeli-style navel =
gazing on=20
Iraq, we see little questioning of what US retreats in Fallujah =
and=20
hesitancy in Najaf do to the forces of jihad throughout the world. =
There=20
is little note paid to the fact that in the attack on foreign =
workers in=20
Yanbu, Saudi Arabia and the beginning of the month, the body of =
one of the=20
American victims was tied to the terrorists' vehicle and dragged =
through=20
the streets of the city as the terrorists invoked the lynching of =
US=20
contractors in Fallujah in late March to the crowd that formed =
around=20
them.=20
<P>In the US tendency towards Israeli style self-obsession, we see =
them=20
like us, buying into the psychological warfare of the enemy aimed =
at=20
forcing their retreat. So it is that in the barbaric butchering of =
Nick=20
Berg, the American press reports as fact the terrorists' =
contention that=20
Berg's beheading was retribution for the abuse of Iraqi prisoners =
in Abu=20
Ghraib.=20
<P>Of course this is a lie. Daniel Pearl was beheaded before the =
US=20
invaded Iraq. The workers in Yanbu were murdered a year after the =
US=20
pulled its military forces out of Saudi Arabia. The US contractors =
were=20
lynched before the Marines went into Fallujah.=20
<P>When we pay attention to our enemies and see the scope of their =
ambitions and depth of their hatred we must come to a =
revolutionary=20
conclusion. We, Israelis, Americans, and indeed all non-fascistic =
Muslims=20
constitute the frontline in the war wherever we are. It was not US =
military deployment in Saudi Arabia that precipitated the =
September 11=20
attacks anymore than it was the Israeli presence in Lebanon or in =
Gaza or=20
Judea and Samaria or Jerusalem that precipitated the =
Palestinian-led jihad=20
against Israel. It is our existence that provokes our enemy.=20
<P>Our enemies, the forces of global jihad, be they Palestinian or =
Jordanian, Saudi, Egyptian, Syrian, Lebanese, Iranian or Iraqi use =
all the=20
means at their disposal to wage their war against us. From their=20
television and radio stations and newspapers they incite for our=20
destruction and feed us fictions of our own culpability to both =
strengthen=20
their forces' will to fight us and weaken our will to defend =
ourselves.=20
<P>In the UN, the Arab League, the Organization of the Islamic =
Conference=20
and on countless other international stages they seek to =
criminalize us=20
for our crime of defending our existence. In this they find =
accomplices=20
among our own self-absorbed elites who are only too happy to blame =
the war=20
being waged against us on ourselves.=20
<P>When we limit our gaze to ourselves not only do we fail to take =
notice=20
of the nature of the war, we craft national policies that harm =
both=20
ourselves and our allies. In Israel, our self-obsession has =
brought about=20
plan after plan all of which have weakened us and our allies in =
the global=20
struggle. From the Oslo initiative to the retreat from Lebanon to =
Sharon's=20
pullout plan from Gaza and parts of Samaria we have hurt ourselves =
and our=20
allies.=20
<P>We have hurt ourselves by weakening our ability to recognize =
our=20
enemies as such seeing them rather as erstwhile peace partners. We =
have=20
hurt ourselves by discrediting our own right to live unmolested as =
large=20
swathes of our elites have preferred our enemies the Palestinians =
to our=20
own citizens in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.=20
<P>In behaving as though the Palestinian branch of the global =
jihad is=20
engaging in a war over a few kilometers in Gaza, Judea and Samaria =
rather=20
than playing a central role in the global jihad against =
non-Muslims, we=20
are making it harder for our allies, first and foremost the =
Americans, to=20
see the true nature of the war they too are fighting. If it is =
only=20
Israeli settlers who are preventing peace by living in mobile =
homes in=20
Judea and Samaria then perhaps it is only America in its =
"arrogance" that=20
is preventing the jihadis from coming to a meeting of the minds =
with the=20
West.=20
<P>As the jihad spreads throughout the world, we must stop finally =
with=20
our self-destructive self-absorption. The butchers in Zeitoun who =
kicked=20
the remains of our soldiers like footballs on Tuesday, like the =
butchers=20
in Baghdad, Karachi, Riyadh and beyond who kill with barbaric =
ecstasy and=20
primordial hatred do so not because of anything we have done. They =
do so=20
because they are barbarians. And if we do not wish to be =
destroyed, we=20
must do everything to destroy them and nothing to give them hope =
for=20
victory against us.=20

Israeli leaders who are erring.=20
<P>Like the owners of the Titanic who said that "God Himself could =
not=20
sink her," they are, as it were, forcing the hand of the Almighty. =
<P>Thus, despite his own party's referendum decision, and the more =
than=20
100,000 Israelis who voted with their feet against abandoning =
Gaza, Sharon=20
remains determined to do just that.=20
<P>Stung by taunts from Israel's God-rejecting left who assert =
that the=20
majority of their countrymen want out of the Strip, the premier is =
buying=20
into the lie that NOT pulling out of Gaza would be =
anti-democratic.=20
<P>Olmert, Sharon's terrier and a man with his own sights on the =
prime=20
minister's throne, dismisses detractors with the feeble reasoning =
that=20
there is no option to leaving Gaza simply because there is no =
other plan.=20
<P>Meanwhile, as his soldiers beat an increasingly bloody retreat =
from=20
Gaza - and it <I>is</I> a retreat, even if more soldiers are being =
poured=20
in just now to try and ensure it takes place on Israel's terms - =
Mofaz has=20
taken to assaulting the bedrock beliefs upon which many of Gaza's =
8000=20
Jews based their decision to live there.=20
<P>"Gaza is not our birthright nor the land of our forefathers, =
and we=20
will not be there within five years," he declared on May 9, =
according to=20
<I>The Jerusalem Post</I>. "Under any final-status agreement, it =
is clear=20
that Gaza will remain outside the borders of Israel."=20
<P><I>Outside</I> the borders of Israel? Well, that may be clear =
to=20
Minister Mofaz. But with all the respect due to him and his fellow =
ministers, and leaving aside for a moment all those Jews who have =
and are=20
giving their lives in defense of the Jewish presence in Gaza, the =
LORD God=20
of Israel neither makes mistakes nor repents of the calling He has =
placed=20
on His people.=20
<P>So either Mr. Mofaz does not know the Bible - a validated =
document=20
known to be one of the most ancient land deeds of all time - or he =
is out=20
to refute it.=20
<P>According to the Bible, Gaza was part of the inheritance given =
to the=20
children of Israel in the past (Numbers 34:2-6), and promised to =
them for=20
the future (Ezekiel 47:19-20). Gaza was specifically given to the =
tribe of=20
Judah - from whence come Mofaz's people, the Jews. (Joshua 15: =
20,47)=20
<P>Under Joshua, the Israelites conquered the land as far as Gaza =
(Joshua=20
10:40-42), but in line with the promise of its designated =
territorial=20
legacy, it was the tribe of Judah that took that land in battle. =

<P>The Gaza Strip was also a part of Solomon's kingdom. (1 Kings =
4:24)=20
<P>So the Bible, at least, is quite clear about who owns Gaza.=20
<P>The Jewish settlers who live in Gaza today have built the homes =

gardens of their beautiful communities based upon these title =
deeds.=20
<P>In 1967, in what millions of Jews and Gentiles believed to be a =
miracle, the Arab occupiers were driven out of Judea and Samaria =
and the=20
illegally occupied Gaza Strip, back to where they came from.=20
<P>While Israel's soldiers fought bravely and brilliantly in the =
Six Day=20
War, it was God Who gave that victory. It was not a mistake. =
Rather, it=20
was another step in His unfolding plan to "restore the kingdom to =

threatening to abandon Gaza and uproot its Jews in order to pursue =

folly is an ever-spiraling fatality figure - first the mother of =
the=20
Hatuel family with her five kids, and now at least 11 Israeli =
soldiers.=20
<P>Will the rush of violence in Gaza push Israel to accelerate the =
withdrawal, as leftist Israelis are gleefully anticipating? Or has =
Sharon's determination to move ahead with the pullout un-bottled a =
war-genie that will force Israel to resolutely confront and deal =

terrorism-breeding Arabs in the Gaza Strip?=20

Meirav 2. Not only were they shot while driving on the highway, =

the car ground to a halt, their Arab-Moslem-Palestinian murderers =
came up=20
and emptied their guns point blank into Tali and each of her =
children,=20
riddling their bodies with dozens of bullets - to make sure they =
were=20
indeed dead and to better mutilate their bodies.=20
<P>Then, one week later at a memorial ceremony for Tali and her =
daughters,=20
at the spot on the road where they were killed, as several hundred =
participants, including many women and children, were praying, =
Arabs=20
opened fire from houses from two directions. The ensuing chaos - =

children, parents running for shelter with babies in their arms, =
people=20
dropping down to the asphalt on the open highway and sheltering =
their=20

blew up another two Israeli vehicles. What the number of dead and =

bodies will have been found, collected and brought to Jewish =

<P>Meanwhile, the voices of "peace" are already screaming loudly, =
as if=20
pulling back, running away, refusing to stand up and defeat evil, =

somehow, miraculously, produce a more peaceful world.=20
<P>In Hebrew, one always places the noun - the essence we are =
speaking of=20
- before the adjective it comes to describe it. We say yeled tov - =
a boy=20
who is good. The "boy" is the essence; he comes first. The =
description=20
"good" follows.=20
<P>But in the Torah, the description of Ishmael is out of order,=20
backwards, just the opposite of normative Hebrew. He is not called =
an adam=20
pereh - a man who is wild. He is called a pereh adam. He is first =

foremost a pereh - a wild creature who is described as appearing =

form of adam - a man.=20
