I checked with my ethicist and she said that rich people do not sin when 
they flee cold weather to their second or third home located in more 
clement climates.

But it is very bad optics for politicians to do that and get caught 
doing it, since they pretend to be representing ordinary people. I note 
that this is an equal opportunity ethical lapse. Ted Cruz is an extreme 
right-wing Republican and Steve Adler is a mush-mouthed extreme 
left-wing Democrat.
