Hi Frances...hope you are well and happy. When they were reading names of the “9/11” dead, I wanted to scream “How about the almost 200K dead from our country’s inaction!” Another form of terrorism in “Merica.”

Stay safe and happy 😜

Best to All,
Margaret

I watched 9-11 unfold from the beginning. I was at home at the no longer extent Ambassador Apartments on 18th and San Antonio Sts. in Austin. I was in bed on the phone to Julia Gunter watching morning television when I saw the first Tower go up in smoke in real time. That's up close and personal!
I have followed documentaries for every shred of circumstantial evidence that could be found since then. I have my opinions yet what's happening now is three times 9-11 per day so where's the common sense. Where is the unadulterated outrage now over COVID-19!

Best,
Frances

Dear Michael and all the Ghettonians,
He did write a book about it, his new book, "Fiber Fueled" is brilliant, science based and going viral in the food world. Doctor's denigrate the value of food when it comes to health. One point he makes in the book is this, We eat some 8,000 pounds of food in our lifetime and a miniscule amount of a drug. So the food obviously has more impact on our health than taking medication. That sure makes sense to me, the Home Ec. with my food/nutrition credentials.

The talk was easier for me to understand than the written book which has a bit too much scientific jargon for my layman's ear. It underscores everything I already knew and added layers to it. My health, and Mike's too since he and I eat alike, is great. No problems, normal labs and no prescription meds. It can't get much better than that. People, including doctors denigrate the food service function in society. The Help makes the food. Polite society doesn't use their time in the preparation of food. They are above that.

A while back I was at a social event. I was visiting with this friend who happens to be a doctor. I told him how my arthritis and periodontal disease went away when I had been on an all plant based diet for a few years. (Now more than 6 years.) He said that was very interesting and being my age said he would try it. I asked if incidentally he might mention this to his patients. He said, "Hell no, I don't slice and dice their vegetables, I write prescriptions." Never has anyone explained why doctors don't recommend healthful plant based food as a way to prevent illnesses more succinctly. This doctor is a genius.
Best,
Frances

No it isn't. It is a 2 hour long podcast repeatedly interrupted by ads.
This podcast like podcasts in general has all the earmarks of a crank
session for shutaways. Nothing can be learned from a podcast because it
is improvised speech. If the young doc had anything worthwhile to say,
he would have sat down and wrote it out.

Scientific findings since antiquity going back to Hippocratic medical
writings are conveyed by the pen. Oral presentations are as it were
written in water.

Take a look at this page
http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/collection?collection=Perseus:collection:Greco-Roman
- and you will see that medical science has always been conveyed in
writing, not orally in podcasts.
