Witnesses say Garrett Foster was not pointing his rifle at the SUV.
Whether or not they are lying will be or should be or could be
determined by the many videos of the event. There are lots of CCTV video
cameras in that area (4th & N. Congress). If he pointed the rifle and
did /not/ shoot, he proves himself to be an ignoramus. Surely it is
obvious that you don't point a rifle at anyone unless you mean to shoot.
I am thinking of the lawyer with a rifle and his wife with a pistol in
St. Louis. The "mostly peaceful" protesters had broken down his gate and
were on the lawn of his house. He ran them off by appearing on his porch
with a rifle but he didnt raise it and point it at the crowd, he held it
so the protesters could see that if they made a move to torch their
house, he would use it.

Garrett Foster deserves a Darwin Award which is bestowed on decedants
who remove themselves from the human genetic pool by acts of outstanding
stupidity.
